The number of Methuen home increased again this month as did the prices compared to a month ago.  Overall, volume and price was a little higher compared to last year:  April/May 2011.  When comparing this month’s data to March/April and Feb/Marchwe see the following:

What was the “Deal of the Month”?

For the seller, 97 Ashland Ave, this colonial was listed for $179,900 and sold for $182,400 in 9 days.  This home is 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath with 1670 sf of living area was built in 1920 with 2 garages and is situated on .09 acres of land.  Congratulations to the seller and agent!

For the buyer, 12 Paris St, this split entry home built in 2005 was listed for $235,000 and sold for $175,000 as a short sale.  Although it had an offer in just 37 days, the second buyer waited from November 14th to April 13th to close on the home.  This home has 2 bedrooms and 2.5 baths in 2300 sf of living area with 2 garages on .29 acres.
